King Charles III

International Desk, Delhi Magazine: According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Monday, February 5th, King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer. The statement does not specify the type of cancer the English monarch is facing but reveals that the disease was discovered during recent hospital treatment for benign prostate enlargement. The medical team identified the cancer as “another worrying problem” after conducting tests.

The monarch has commenced a program of regular treatments, prompting doctors to advise him to postpone his public activities. Despite this, King Charles III will continue to handle state affairs and official duties as usual during this period.

The decision to share the diagnosis was made by His Majesty to prevent speculation and to promote understanding among those affected by cancer worldwide.

Earlier this year, King Charles III underwent surgery for a prostate problem and was discharged from the hospital on January 29th. He ascended to the British throne on September 8, 2022, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and was crowned on May 6, 2023.

Meanwhile, a source close to the British royal family informed Sky News that Prince Harry will be traveling to the United Kingdom in the coming days to visit his father. This decision follows a recent telephone conversation between the two.
