Former Atlas Cycles Chairman Salil Kapoor Found Dead at 70, Suicide Note Cites Financial Struggles

City Desk, Delhi Magazine: Salil Kapoor, the former Chairman of Atlas Cycles, allegedly died by suicide at his home in the Lutyens Delhi area on Tuesday. He was 70 years old. Police officials reported that Kapoor’s manager discovered his body near the puja room of his residence on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road around 1 pm, finding him soaked in blood.

According to the police, Kapoor allegedly shot himself in the head with a licensed revolver. A suicide note found at the scene accuses several individuals of harassment and mentions the “financial burden” he was facing.

Kapoor’s wife and three children were reportedly living separately from him. His manager and the manager’s family resided with Kapoor in the three-storey building. Despite being rushed to the hospital, doctors declared Kapoor dead on arrival
