City Desk, Delhi Magazine – A 30-year-old woman lost her life and eight others sustained injuries when a wall of the underground floor of an under-construction building of a private hospital in Delhi collapsed on Thursday, officials reported.
According to a senior police officer, the incident occurred near a petrol pump in Sector-12, Dwarka. “During patrolling, the personnel of Dwarka North police station saw a crowd of people near the under-construction building of a private hospital. They found that the wall of the underground floor under construction had collapsed and some people were trapped under the debris,” the officer stated.
Rescue operations were promptly initiated, and the injured were swiftly transported to two different hospitals. Unfortunately, one of the injured women was declared dead by doctors at IGI Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed at the construction site to prevent further incidents. The incident has raised concerns about construction safety standards and the well-being of workers at such sites.
