City Desk, Delhi Magazine: In a recent development, the Delhi Government’s Services Department has executed a series of transfers involving several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, following directives from Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena. This move comes amid ongoing disputes between the Kejriwal government and the Centre over officer transfers.

As per the new orders, A Anbarasu, a 1996 batch IAS officer from the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, has been relieved from his additional role as Principal Commissioner (Trade and Tax). Anbarasu will now serve as Principal Secretary (PWD) and will continue to hold the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).

Nikhil Kumar, a 2002 batch IAS officer previously on the waiting list, has been assigned the role of Secretary (Land and Building). Additionally, Chanchal Yadav, a 2008 batch officer, has been appointed as Secretary (Home).

In another significant change, KM Uppu, a 2009 batch IAS officer who was handling the additional charge of Excise Commissioner, has been relieved of this duty. Uppu will now focus solely on his role as Secretary of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

The reshuffling also includes the assignment of 2010 batch officers Aarti Lal Sharma and Jitendra Yadav to the Delhi Development Authority and the Delhi Municipal Corporation, respectively. Furthermore, Ravi Jha and Marathe Omkar Gopal, who were also on the waiting list, have been posted to NDMC and the Delhi Municipal Corporation.
