New Delhi: British Airways has announced the extension of its second daily flight service between Bengaluru and London Heathrow into the Summer 2027 season. The frequency expansion, which originally launched on June 2, 2026, as a short-term seasonal adjustment, will now run through late next year to meet sustained passenger demand.

With this extension, the airline will continue operating 14 flights per week on the Bengaluru route, pushing its total operational network out of India to 70 weekly flights. The extended schedule will add over 78,000 additional seats between the two cities for the summer travel period.

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, emphasized the significance of the region, stating, “Bengaluru is an important market for British Airways. Continuing this service into summer 2027 will give customers greater choice and flexibility when travelling to London, as well as connecting onwards to destinations across North America and Canada.”

Fleet and Route Details
Both daily flights will continue to be deployed on Boeing 787 aircraft. Beyond point-to-point travel, the double-daily operations are heavily timed to optimize onward connections via London Heathrow to major transatlantic hubs, including San Francisco, where British Airways is ramping up its own capacity to three daily flights next summer.
