Amit Shah Appreciates Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan

Sharing his thoughts about the meeting, Amit Shah appreciated the efforts of both actors in taking Indian cinema and its cultural influence beyond the country’s borders.

Chiranjeevi has been one of the biggest names in Telugu cinema for several decades. His contribution to the film industry has earned him a huge fan following across India.

Ram Charan, meanwhile, has established himself as one of the leading actors of the younger generation. His popularity reached a much wider international audience following the success of SS Rajamouli’s film RRR.

RRR Brought Ram Charan International Recognition

The global success of RRR became an important moment for Telugu cinema. The film received international recognition, particularly after its song Naatu Naatu won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2023.

Ram Charan played one of the lead roles alongside Jr NTR in the film. The Oscar-winning success of Naatu Naatu also brought greater attention to Indian music and filmmaking on the international stage.

Chiranjeevi has continued to support and celebrate his son’s achievements while maintaining his own position as one of the most respected stars in the Telugu film industry.

Why the Hyderabad Meeting Is Drawing Attention

Amit Shah’s meeting with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan took place at ITC Kakatiya Hotel in Hyderabad during his November 2 visit. The Home Minister was also in the city to participate in a BJP-organised Maha Padayatra against the opposition’s campaign over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Ram Charan has been one of the popular faces of Telugu cinema for years. He was also featured in Delhi Magazine’s earlier coverage of the most handsome actors in the South Indian film industry, highlighting his popularity among audiences.

The meeting has also attracted political interest because Chiranjeevi’s younger brother, Pawan Kalyan, is the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the leader of the Jana Sena Party, which is part of the NDA alliance.

However, there has been no official confirmation that any political strategy or party-related matter was discussed during the meeting.

Amit Shah’s message has highlighted his appreciation for Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s contribution to Indian cinema and culture, while the meeting has once again brought the Telugu film industry into the spotlight.
