In her message, Valbonesi thanked Queen Letizia for the warm welcome. She wrote in Spanish that carrying Ecuador with her would always be a source of pride.

Who Is Lavinia Valbonesi?

Lavinia Valbonesi is the First Lady of Ecuador and the wife of President Daniel Noboa. She is also known for her work in social initiatives, women’s empowerment and community development.

She founded Fundación ANA, an organisation that works to support women through education, skills training and opportunities for economic independence. Its programmes also support Ecuadorian women living abroad.
