El Segundo, California: Enterprise video technology company Socialive has announced Catalyst, a new AI-powered video creation engine designed to help businesses plan, create, manage and distribute professional video content through a conversational interface. Announced on September 14, 2026, Catalyst is entering early access with selected customers this month, with general availability planned for October 2026. The company is positioning the platform as an AI-driven layer across the complete enterprise video workflow rather than simply another text-to-video generator. Catalyst allows users to describe their video requirements using natural-language prompts. The system can then develop a project plan, identify the necessary assets and information, incorporate brand requirements and creative direction, and assist with the production process. The platform is designed to support a wide range of enterprise video tasks, including idea development, scripting, visual concepts, video generation, content transformation, branding, approvals, compliance and publishing. One of the key differences in Socialive’s approach is its focus on the complete production workflow. Instead of generating a video immediately from a single prompt, Catalyst is designed to first understand the project and establish a production plan. Users can refine that direction before the actual generation process begins. Socialive says this approach is intended to reduce unnecessary regeneration and make AI-generated video more predictable for organisations that have specific branding, compliance and production requirements. The company also plans to use Catalyst to help businesses transform existing content into new formats. Long-form videos such as webinars, interviews and corporate presentations can be repurposed into shorter video assets for social platforms and other communication channels. For example, an organisation could use the platform to develop an executive interview, apply its corporate branding, create shorter clips from the finished recording, route the material through an approval process and prepare the approved content for distribution. Socialive is therefore presenting Catalyst as an AI orchestration system for enterprise video, connecting different stages of production rather than focusing solely on automated video generation. The platform also incorporates decision-making logic and safeguards intended to help organisations maintain consistency across their content. This could be particularly important for businesses where video production must follow established brand guidelines, approval procedures and compliance requirements. The launch comes as companies increasingly use generative AI to produce marketing, training, corporate communications and social-media content. However, businesses still face challenges when moving from individual AI-generated assets to large-scale production involving multiple teams and approval stages. Socialive’s strategy is to address that gap by combining AI with its existing video-production infrastructure. The company says selected customers will receive access to Catalyst during September 2026, with wider availability expected in October 2026. If successful, the platform could represent a shift in enterprise video production from manually operating multiple specialised tools toward AI-assisted workflows in which users describe the desired outcome and the system coordinates much of the production process.
