The incident occurred at his residence or office premises, where two man assailants reportedly entered and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons.

According to preliminary reports, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and were wearing helmets. Wastik sustained multiple injuries, including serious wounds to his neck and abdomen.
