He completed his schooling at Lions High School in Hassan and pursued his engineering degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal.

After completing his engineering degree, Suhas set his sights on the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), one of the most prestigious careers in India. He cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination on his first attempt, an achievement that reflects his dedication and intellectual prowess. As of January 2023, he is working as the Secretary and Director General of Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Force of the State Government. His notable achievements include a gold medal at the Asian Para-Badminton Championships in 2016 and a silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021.
