International Desk, Delhi Magazine: The mortal remains of Indian citizen P. Maxwell ( Pat nibin Maxwell), tragically killed in a missile attack by Hezbollah in Israel, have been repatriated to Kerala from Delhi via an Air India flight on Friday evening.
Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, along with Israeli Consul General to India, Tammy Ben-Haim, were present at Thiruvananthapuram airport to receive Maxwell’s body. From there, the body was transported by road to his hometown of Kollam, accompanied by Maxwell’s brother and other relatives. Family members have stated that Maxwell’s final rites will be conducted in Kollam on Saturday at 4 pm.
Expressing gratitude, Muraleedharan conveyed appreciation towards the Israeli government for their prompt cooperation in facilitating the repatriation process. He also assured that paperwork is in progress to provide compensation to Maxwell’s bereaved family.
Prior to the repatriation of his remains to India, Embassy officials, accompanied by Israel’s Minister of Interior Moshe Arbel, DG PIBA Eyal Sisso, and senior Foreign Ministry officials, paid their final respects to the mortal remains of Mr. Patnibin Maxwell, who tragically lost his life in Israel.
The Israeli Consul General reiterated their commitment to supporting Maxwell’s family during this difficult time, affirming ongoing efforts to devise a compensation plan. He emphasized that the Israeli government stands in solidarity with the victim’s family amidst their sorrow.
