Argentina (October 16, 2024) – Liam Payne, the 31-year-old singer-songwriter and former member of the global sensation One Direction, has tragically passed away in Buenos Aires. According to local reports, Payne was found dead on Wednesday at the Casa Sur hotel in the Palermo district after falling from the third floor.
Authorities were alerted at around 5:09 p.m. following reports of a man behaving erratically, possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, at the hotel. La Nacion reports that emergency responders arrived at the scene within seven minutes, but Alberto Crescenti, the director of emergency medical services for the city of Buenos Aires, confirmed that Payne had sustained fatal injuries from the fall, resulting in his immediate death.
“The fall caused very serious injuries that immediately caused his death,” Crescenti said. He also mentioned that the authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
