Lifestyle Desk, Delhi Magazine: In a heartfelt interview renowned singer Natalie, also known as Natalia Rudina, candidly discussed her experience with forced weight gain following the tragic loss of her husband, Alexander Rudin, who passed away last year due to complications from COVID-19. The couple had spent 32 years together, and Natalie shared how she has been gradually picking herself up in the wake of her devastating loss.

Reflecting on her emotional journey, Natalie admitted she felt “completely exhausted” after Alexander’s passing, which led her to gain weight as a means of coping. “I had to gain weight,” she confessed, noting that she has since managed to add a few kilograms to her frame.

The 90s pop star also revealed that her iconic song, “Turtle,” plays a significant role in helping her maintain her fitness. “While I’m performing ‘Turtle,’ I can’t get out of the girl’s image,” she explained. “Although I don’t do anything special for this. Apparently, the songs call for responsibility and keep me in shape. I eat twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, without lunch,” Natalie added.

After her husband’s death, the singer faced a serious emotional struggle, teetering on the brink of depression. For a period, there was little news about her activities, raising concerns among fans. However, in August of this year, reports emerged indicating that Natalie had returned to performing at corporate events, signaling her determination to continue her career in music despite the personal challenges she has faced.

Natalie’s openness about her journey of grief and resilience offers a poignant reminder of the complexities of healing after loss, as she navigates her path forward while honoring her late husband’s memory.
