Doha, Qatar — Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, attended a series of significant cultural and creative industry events hosted by Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) in Doha on Monday. FTA is a leading platform supporting emerging designers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Ms. Mirziyoyeva’s visit focused on reviewing FTA’s operations and exploring innovative, designer-led projects aimed at boosting regional creative talent. A key focus was the Threads of Impact exhibition at Doha’s M7 cultural centre.

Uzbekistan’s Cultural Showcase: She expressed great satisfaction over Uzbekistan’s strong presence in the exhibition through “Woven Legacies: Uzbekistan’s Living Heritage.” This dedicated showcase featured the exquisite work of Uzbek designers and traditional national attire, reflecting the country’s rich textile history and cultural heritage.
Innovative Heritage and Global Attention: Ms. Mirziyoyeva also visited the exhibition “Countryside: A Place to Live, Not to Leave,” curated by Rem Koolhaas and Samir Bantal of OMA/AMO. A special section of this exhibition brought international attention to Uzbekistan’s innovative heritage by featuring one of the nation’s most significant scientific and architectural achievements: the Sun Solar Furnace & Heliocomplex.
