International Desk, Delhi Magazine: The campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will be set up in Abu Dhabi. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for this purpose with the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi on Saturday on a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He discussed with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on further strengthening the multifaceted bilateral ties.
Sharing this information, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted, “IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus will set a blueprint to harness the power of knowledge for mutual prosperity and global good.” He said that in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi A new chapter in the internationalization of Indian education will begin with the signing of the MoU to set up the Abu Dhabi campus of IIT Delhi.

According to the Ministry of Education, IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus will start postgraduate courses from January 2024 and graduate courses from September next year. Under this, academic programs, courses etc. will be made available by IIT Delhi. The degree will be awarded by IIT Delhi. According to the ministry, both the countries will benefit greatly from this. Recently, IIT Madras had announced to set up its campus in Zanzibar-Tanzania. This will be the first campus of an IIT to be established outside the country.
