Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini Inaugurates Development Projects Worth ₹ 25 Crore in Kalka Assembly Constituency

Kalka Desk, Delhi Magazine: Haryana CM Mr. Naib Singh Saini today presented a series of development initiatives to the residents of the Kalka assembly constituency, inaugurating three major projects worth ₹ 25 crore. These projects include the construction of 132 KV and 66 KV sub-stations in Nanakpur, along with bridges over the Khuhwala river and the Berghati river in a local village.

In a thanksgiving rally held in Kalka, the Chief Minister made several additional announcements aimed at enhancing the region’s infrastructure and tourism potential. Key among these was the construction of a new administrative and judicial complex in Pinjore. Additionally, he announced the establishment of welcome gates on two major entry routes to Kalka from Himachal Pradesh.

Formation of Tourism Committee for Regional Development

Highlighting the region’s untapped tourism potential, the Chief Minister declared the formation of a special committee under the Tourism Department. This committee will explore:

  • Declaring various old buildings in the area as heritage sites,
  • Building a film city,
  • Setting up a zoo and safari in the Morni area,
  • Launching tourist activities at Kaushalya Dam, and
  • Renovating historical stepwells in the region.

The committee, which includes Kalka MLA Mrs. Shakti Rani Sharma as a special invitee, has been tasked with preparing a detailed report within six months.

Educational and Agricultural Infrastructure Development

As part of the budget provisions under the School Education Department, the Chief Minister announced the repair of schools in poor condition at a cost of ₹ 5 crore. Additionally, the feasibility of setting up a food processing plant for tomatoes in Kalka on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode will be examined.

Upgrading Veterinary Services

Recognizing the importance of veterinary healthcare, the Chief Minister announced the upgradation of the Government Veterinary Dispensary in Ganeshpur Bhoria and Badi Sher villages into full-fledged Government Veterinary Hospitals. A new Government Veterinary Dispensary will also be opened in village Vasudevpur.

Additional Funds for Development

Further demonstrating his commitment to the region, the Chief Minister announced an additional allocation of ₹ 5 crore for various developmental works in the Kalka assembly constituency.

These announcements mark a significant step towards infrastructure improvement, tourism promotion, and community development in Kalka. The projects and future initiatives are expected to transform the region, benefiting residents and enhancing its appeal as a key destination.
