Education Desk, Delhi Magazine: A distinguished team of scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) visited the Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Sonipat, to lead a highly anticipated workshop and seminar on “Moon Exploration by India: Chandrayaan Projects and Space Applications for the Common Man.”
The ISRO team included prominent figures such as Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Garg, Dr. Anil C. Mathur, Dr. Hari Om Vats, Dr. Alok Kr. Mathur, Dr. Ashutosh Bhardwaj, Dr. Anurag Aeron, and Dr. Bhumika Sharma. Their visit brought a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the seminar, offering students and participants a deep dive into India’s advancements in lunar exploration.
The event was coordinated by Assistant Professor Mr. Ashish Aggarwal from GIET, along with Dr. Shishpal. It attracted enthusiastic school students from various cities, eager to learn about space exploration and its applications. The ISRO team brought along several models and scientific equipment to enhance the learning experience, providing participants with a hands-on understanding of complex concepts.
This workshop is part of a series of educational initiatives by ISRO to engage young minds across the country. Just days ago, Delhi Magazine reported that another team from ISRO conducted a similar workshop at Pathania Public School, Rohtak, reflecting the organization’s commitment to spreading awareness and knowledge about space science among students.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Dr. Amik Garg, Director General of Gateway Education, and Dr. Vinay Kumar Singhal, Principal of Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology. Their support was instrumental in ensuring the success of the event, which marks another milestone in GIET’s ongoing efforts to provide cutting-edge educational opportunities to its students.
