Delhi Desk, Delhi Magazine: Today is the 10th day of fighting between the army and the paramilitary-Rapid Support Force (RSF) in Sudan since April 15. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 413 people have died so far. 3,551 people have been injured.
About 4 thousand Indians are also stranded here. To remove them, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has started Operation Kaveri. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar gave this information on social media.
Jaishankar said- The work of evacuating the Indians trapped in Sudan has started. About 500 civilians have been brought to Port Sudan. Apart from these, some other citizens are going to reach there. We have named it Operation Kaveri. Our ships and aircraft are ready to bring back Indians. We are fully prepared to help our citizens.

Meanwhile, many countries are running rescue operations to safely evacuate their citizens trapped in Sudan. Till now 9 countries including America, Britain have rescued their diplomats.
