Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Launches Direct Public Grievance System to Strengthen Governance
City Desk, Delhi Magazine: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday announced that her office will now handle public grievances directly, a move aimed at improving governance in the national capital. She stated that complaint boxes will be installed at Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Additional District Magistrate (ADM), and Sub-Registrar offices across the city.
After a meeting with officials, Gupta emphasized the need to further strengthen Delhi’s public grievance redressal system to make it more accessible and effective.
“The system should be designed in a way that even a common person can register their complaint by simply dialling a number, using WhatsApp, or through any other app. Every possible mode of communication should be available so that citizens can raise their concerns directly with the government,” Gupta told reporters.

She added that she has already received several complaints related to the SDM, ADM, and Sub-Registrar offices. “People can now send their complaints directly to me through these complaint boxes,” she said.
Reaffirming her government’s stance on transparency, Gupta asserted that corruption will not be tolerated in any department.
She also criticized the public grievance redressal mechanism under the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, calling it a “failure,” and alleging that complaints either did not reach the government or were left unresolved.
The Chief Minister assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi is committed to creating an updated, integrated grievance redressal system that truly addresses the concerns of the people.
