MDNIY Hosts Enriching Iyengar Yoga Workshop for CCYWI Students

The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) successfully conducted an Iyengar Yoga workshop yesterday, bringing together students from both online and offline batches of the Certificate Course in Yoga for Wellness Instructor (CCYWI). The day-long event was filled with enriching yoga practices and valuable teachings, offering a holistic experience to all participants.

The workshop began with Shatkarma practices, traditional cleansing techniques in yoga, led by MDNIY’s skilled instructors—Ms. Sonu Rani, Sh. Rahul Singh Chauhan, Ms. Aishwarya Laxmi, and Ms. Upma Sharma. These practices set a strong foundation for the day, helping students prepare physically and mentally for the sessions ahead.

A key highlight of the workshop was an enlightening lecture by Sh. Ankur Yadav, a respected Iyengar Yoga teacher. He shared deep insights into the principles and practices of Iyengar Yoga, engaging the students and broadening their understanding of this precise and alignment-focused style of yoga.

The day concluded with calming meditation and Yoga Nidra, allowing participants to relax and internalize the day’s learnings. The overall coordination of the session was skillfully managed by Ms. Sonu Rani, ensuring a smooth and fulfilling experience for everyone involved.

This workshop is part of MDNIY’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality yoga education and training, empowering students with the knowledge and skills to promote wellness and health through yoga.
