Dussehra marks the day when Lord Rama vanquished King Ravana of Lanka, a legendary act that signifies the victory of good over evil. As part of the traditional celebrations, effigies of Ravana, along with his son Meghnath and brother Kumbhkaran, are set ablaze in various parts of the country. However, this year’s event in Dwarka Sector 10 stood out for the sheer scale and magnitude of the effigy constructed.

The colossal 211-foot Ravana effigy was crafted by 40 artisans, specially brought in from Ambala for this project. It took more than four months of meticulous planning, designing, and construction to bring this towering structure to life. The artisans used intricate techniques to ensure that the effigy not only captured the grandeur of Ravana but also stood tall as a symbol of the festive spirit.

The preparation involved assembling materials and constructing a sturdy framework capable of withstanding its enormous size. The artisans paid special attention to detail, giving the effigy a majestic appearance that captivated the audience. This year’s creation surpassed all previous records for the height of Ravana effigies, earning its place in history as the tallest Ravana effigy ever built.

As the effigy was set on fire, the atmosphere was electrifying, with thousands of spectators flocking to witness the spectacular event. The crowd was so large that there was barely any space to stand. People from all corners of the city, including families and tourists, gathered to witness this unique celebration of Dussehra. The burning of the effigy was accompanied by fireworks and traditional music, adding to the festive atmosphere and creating an unforgettable experience for those in attendance.

Dussehra, which is celebrated annually to commemorate the defeat of Ravana by Lord Rama, is more than just a religious festival—it is a reminder of the eternal victory of righteousness over evil. The burning of Ravana’s effigy symbolizes the destruction of negative forces and the emergence of truth and justice.

In addition to the massive celebrations in Dwarka, Delhi Ex – Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal participated in the Ramleela and Dussehra celebrations in Chirag Delhi. He shared his experience on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating:
