90 people from different parts of France have come together in the Jura region

SAINT-LAURENT-EN-GRANDVAUX, FRANCE: In a heartwarming example of community spirit, 90 people from different parts of France have come together in the Jura region for a special summer gathering combining music, hiking and shared experiences.

The gathering is being organised by the association L’Enfance d’Ascq at the Mussillons holiday centre in Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux. The participants are taking part in a programme that includes preparing concerts, exploring the surrounding Jura countryside and spending time together.

Known as “Rando Chœur,” the annual gathering has become a popular event for people who want to combine music with outdoor activities and community life. This year’s participants have travelled from across France to spend several days together in the Haut-Jura.

The association, which has existed for 76 years, was founded around values of mutual support, solidarity and sharing. Its activities have helped build a long-running connection between communities in northern France and the Jura.

The current gathering is scheduled to continue through August 22, giving participants several days to enjoy music, nature and the company of people they may not otherwise have met.

Beyond the concerts and hikes, the gathering highlights something increasingly valuable in modern life: the ability of people from different places and backgrounds to come together, share an experience and build genuine human connections.

In a summer often dominated by negative headlines, the story from this small Jura community offers a simple reminder that community, friendship and shared experiences can still bring people together across France.
