Hisar Desk, Delhi Magazine — Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini inaugurated a new sports complex and girls’ hostel at Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha, today. During the ceremony, he paid tribute to Maharaja Agrasen and praised the college’s role in continuing the legacy of human service initiated by the revered leader.
Highlighting the college’s significance, CM Saini remarked, “The sapling planted by Shri OP Jindal has grown into a thriving banyan tree. This college plays a crucial role in our mission to deliver quality healthcare to every citizen. The new facilities will greatly benefit students, teachers, doctors, and staff alike.”
The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to making Haryana a medical hub, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Fit India. “Our government is actively working to establish a medical college in every district,” he said.

Since 2014, the number of medical colleges in Haryana has risen from six to fifteen. Nine new colleges have already opened, and five more are under development. Additionally, Ayush University in Kurukshetra and nursing colleges in Faridabad, Panchkula, and Rewari are now operational.
CM Saini underscored the government’s efforts to ensure free healthcare for the poor and elderly. “We have issued 1.19 crore Chirayu cards, enabling free medical services for underprivileged families,” he noted.
The event was attended by Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Hisar MLA Sawtri Jindal, Nalwa MLA Randhir Panihar, former Rajya Sabha MP Lt. Gen. (Retd.) DP Vats, and other distinguished guests.
