According to the viral Instagram post, a private bus owner from Tamil Nadu chose to feature Colonel Sofiya Qureshi on his newly purchased bus instead of the film celebrities and popular personalities commonly seen on commercial vehicles. The post describes the gesture as a tribute to the military officer and the country’s armed forces.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi became widely known across India after she represented the Indian Army during the official briefings on Operation Sindoor in May 2025. Alongside Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, she briefed the media about India’s military operation targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Official government records confirm her participation in the briefing.

The bus shown in the viral images carries a large portrait of Qureshi along with Indian tricolour-themed artwork and other patriotic imagery. The gesture has attracted attention online, with users viewing it as an example of growing public recognition for members of the armed forces.
