City Desk, Delhi Magazine: A massive protest was organized by the INDIA Alliance at Jantar Mantar today against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The demonstration saw the participation of various political leaders, activists, and supporters who voiced their dissent against what they termed as the misuse of central agencies by the Modi government.

Among the prominent speakers at the protest was Comrade D. Raja, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI). In his address, he expressed strong support for Kejriwal, emphasizing the solidarity of the CPI with the Delhi Chief Minister. “CPI stands with Kejriwal,” declared D. Raja, adding, “I assure you, Sunita Ji, you are not alone. The people of India are with you.”

D. Raja also highlighted concerns over Kejriwal’s health, pointing out that the Chief Minister is diabetic and that his condition is deteriorating due to the ongoing situation. “Central agencies are being misused by the Modi government. CM Arvind Kejriwal is a diabetic and his health is deteriorating,” he said, urging the authorities to reconsider their actions and ensure that Kejriwal receives appropriate medical care.

Adding to the chorus of support, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar also spoke at the protest. Pawar praised Kejriwal’s tenure as Chief Minister, noting the positive impact of his governance on Delhi. “Arvind Kejriwal ji has been elected as the Chief Minister by the people of Delhi thrice. His governance in Delhi has set an example for the whole country. The people have loved him immensely,” said Pawar.

Pawar accused the Modi government of conspiring against democracy out of fear of Kejriwal’s popularity. “Disturbed by this, Narendra Modi and the BJP government conspired against democracy and put him in jail and his health is being played with there,” he stated, calling for immediate action to protect Kejriwal’s well-being.

The protest at Jantar Mantar saw a large turnout of INDIA Alliance supporters, all demanding the release of Arvind Kejriwal and condemning the alleged political vendetta against him. The alliance has vowed to continue its fight until justice is served and the democratic rights of elected representatives are upheld.
