Tokyo Desk, Delhi Magazine: Prime Minister Takaichi attended the G20 Johannesburg Summit and participated in Section 1 titled “Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth that Leaves No One Behind.” During the session, G20 leaders underlined the need for coordinated global action to ensure inclusive and sustainable economic growth at a time when uncertainty continues to affect the world economy.
Member countries highlighted the importance of maintaining free and fair trade, advancing WTO reforms, and strengthening development finance systems that give due consideration to debt sustainability. The discussion also focused on major international concerns, including the need for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and supporting early recovery and reconstruction efforts in the region.
Earlier, during the Opening Session, the G20 South Africa Summit: Leaders’ Declaration was officially issued, marking the collective commitments of participating nations on key global economic and political priorities.
