More than 10,000 religious leaders from more than 80 countries are participating in the five-day World Parliament of Religions.

Jain Acharya Lokesh, the speaker of the opening ceremony of the Parliament of World Religions, created innovative history by congratulating Indian saints on India’s Independence Day.

Addressing the World Parliament of Religions on Monday, Lokesh Muni said that the world is currently facing many challenges, some of which pose a threat to the entire creation.

He said that global warming, climate change, terrorism and violence are issues that everyone is grappling with. He said that people of different religions, creeds, countries and ideologies can come together to find solutions to these problems. The World Parliament of Religions in 2023 will prove to be a milestone.” The inaugural session of the World Parliament of Religions was attended by hundreds of eminent personalities, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and veteran US leader Nancy Pelosi. Lokesh Muni is the founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharati which works for peace and emphasizes on non-violence.
