Dr. Andrabi’s Stand: Disrespecting the Emblem is an Attack on the Nation

Srinagar: The Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, has delivered a strong message, stating that dishonoring India’s national emblem, the Ashoka Pillar, is an attack on the dignity of the nation itself.

In a powerful statement, Dr. Andrabi declared that disrespecting the emblem is “no less than an act of terrorism” and would attract strict legal action. She further challenged those who object to national symbols, asking them to also refrain from using Indian currency, as every note carries the same emblem.

The emblem is more than just an artistic engraving; it is the country’s most sacred identity marker, representing authority, unity, and the values that bind citizens together. Dr. Andrabi’s remarks reinforce the emblem’s status as a symbol of national pride that transcends political or religious boundaries.

By highlighting the sanctity of the emblem, she has renewed the call to treat national symbols with reverence. Protecting them is not just about law but about honoring the sacrifices of generations who fought for India’s independence and unity.
