World News, Delhi Magazine: The Democratic Republic of Congo is in mourning. Today, Saturday, it was announced that one of the biggest names in modern music, Tshala Muana, is known as “Mamu Nationale” by most of the country.
A native of the Kasai region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the author of many songs, Tshala Muana died at the age of 64.
Some relatives of Tshala Muana confirmed this information, Claude Mashala, one of the deceased’s neighbors through a message published on her Facebook page confirmed this.
In the message she wrote on her page, it can be read that “Early this morning, the good Lord decided to take the life of Mamu Tshala Muana.”
In 1997, after twenty years in Paris, Tshala Muana entered politics, with the support of President Laurent-Désiré Kabila. She founded REFECO, an organization that supports Congolese women.

From 2000 to 2002, she was a member of the independent advisory council.
She then became the leader of the women’s group PPRD4 (People’s Party for Reconstruction and Democracy), a political party founded by President Joseph Kabila in 2002, a position she still holds before her death.
In 2011, she was defeated in the parliamentary election in Kananga constituency, the election was rigged according to her.
Since she entered politics, Tshala Muana has been a talented political and patriotic singer.
