Dhaka, November 23, 2025: The Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan, H.E. Tshering Tobgay, began his three-day official visit to Bangladesh (November 22–24, 2025) by paying deep homage to the martyrs of the War of Independence at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar today.
Prime Minister Tobgay laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence at the solemn ceremony, honoring the immense sacrifices made for Bangladesh’s liberation. This tribute marked the official start of his engagements in Dhaka, reaffirming Bhutan’s respect for Bangladesh’s history and the shared values binding the two nations.
During the state visit, Prime Minister Tobgay is scheduled to hold high-level meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation in key areas, including trade, connectivity, energy, climate resilience, and people-to-people exchanges. The visit is intended to expand the collaborative initiatives already underway between Bangladesh and Bhutan.
