Polina Gagarina Withdraws from Opening Ceremony of Russia-Serbia Friendly Match

Polina Gagarina

Moscow Desk, Delhi Magazine — Plans for Polina Gagarina to perform at the opening ceremony of the friendly match between the Russian and Serbian national teams have been altered. Insiders report that the singer will be unable to perform the Russian anthem before the game. Initially, Gagarina had accepted the offer, but an unexpected scheduling conflict with two previously planned events forced her to cancel her appearance at the VTB Arena – Central Dynamo Stadium named after Lev Yashin.

In light of this, the organizers are actively seeking a replacement. It has been confirmed that the Serbian anthem will be performed by popular Serbian singer Aleksandra Prijovic. Additionally, other notable performers include Grigory Leps and Sevak Khanagyan, who represented Armenia at Eurovision 2018.

The event, set to be held at the iconic VTB Arena, promises to be a memorable occasion despite the last-minute changes to the lineup.
