Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini Pays Respects to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule in Pune

Pune Desk, Delhi Magazine: Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini paid a visit to Phulewada, the ancestral home of iconic social reformers Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule, in Pune, Maharashtra. During his visit, the Chief Minister honored their contributions to social justice, equality, and education, acknowledging their groundbreaking efforts in championing women’s empowerment and fighting social injustice.

Expressing his admiration, Chief Minister Saini shared on social media, “I had the privilege of visiting the museum of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule ji in Pune, Maharashtra. Today, I was honored to pay tribute to this holy land where Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule led women’s education at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jeevanpat and Mahatma Phulewada. They supported women’s empowerment and fought against social injustice, paving the way for equality and knowledge. They were determined to bring revolutionary changes in society. They built the first school of India for girls in Pune.”

He further remarked, “It is my good fortune that I could pay my respects to the land from where Mahatma Jyotiba Phule spread the light of education in difficult circumstances.”
