UN Secretary – India’s Corona vaccine production capacity is the world’s largest asset.

A vaccination campaign has been started across India to treat the corona virus from January 16. So far, more than 23 lakh 55 thousand people have received the Corona vaccine supplements across the country. Meanwhile, India has sent the help of the Corona vaccine to many of its neighboring countries. Currently, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres believes that India’s Corona vaccine production capacity is currently the world’s largest asset.

The UN chief’s statement comes at a time when India has gifted more than 5.5 million doses of corona vaccine to its neighboring countries.

In fact, since the start of the Corona vaccination campaign, the Corona vaccine is being given all over the country at a rapid pace. At the same time, India has so far sent the corona vaccine to Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Brazil and Mauritius. Apart from this, India is also planning to give vaccine gifts to Oman, CARICOM countries, Nicaragua, Pacific Island States.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says that ‘I think India’s vaccine production capacity is the world’s biggest asset. I hope the world understands that it should be fully utilized.

Guterres expressed the possibility of a global vaccination campaign for the corona vaccine towards India. He says that ‘we sincerely hope that India will have all the tools necessary to play a major role in ensuring that a global vaccination campaign is possible.’

Infection rate decreased in India

At present, the effect of corona in India seems to be diminishing. So far, in India more than one crore 7 lakh 20 thousand corona infections have been reported. Out of which treatment of one crore 3 lakh 93 thousand corona infected has been successful. At present, the number of corona infections in India has reached one lakh 73. So far more than one lakh 54 thousand have died due to Corona virus in the country.
