Even the tea that we drink has milk in it and numerous palettes are still not used to having the English version of Tea. Ever since growing up, we have often noticed how each member of the family has been consuming milk in some form or the other. From shakes to home made ice creams to a glass of plain milk, it is the most vital ingredient of every household. According to some reports, one glass of milk is essential at all stages of life to keep the calcium consistency ofthe bones. Drinking milk keeps the teeth and bones strong not just for growing children but also for the elderly.  The kind of calcium supply which is there in milk is unmatchable to any other source. During summers the body feels dehydrated very quickly. We keep drinking water every time we step out. During this season one must have cold milk once a day. Cold milk is believed to be a storehouse of electrolytes that protects the body from being dehydrated which in turn keeps the skin fresh. Having cold milk in the morning enhances its benefits exponentially. Apart from this, one can drink cold milk soon after finishing the workout. However, to kids and others who feel tired soon, hot milk must be consumed even during summers. It helps in the rejuvenation of the body.
Actually, after drinking iced milk, the body first has to burn calories to bring it to normal temperature. After this, more calories are needed to digest it.  It is also very important to know at which tome it is beneficial to drink cold milk and hot milk. In some cases, if you drink cold milk instead of hot one (and vice – versa), it can cause health issues. For example, drinking cold milk can prove harmful when there is a cold.
 

 

Avoid drinking cold milk in case of flu or cold. Drinking cold milk at night can damage your digestive system. It also worsens sleep. We should never consume kulthi, lemon, jackfruit, bitter gourd or salt together with milk. These combinations are not good for health and may cause physical problems too. You are susceptible to skin diseases, ringworm, itching, eczema, psoriasis, etc. if you consume milk with the above mentioned as they have a different molecular structure that does not coincide with each other.
  
Grams such as moong, and urad, must not be consumed with milk else it causes digestion issues. Carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes, oil, jaggery, honey, curd, coconut, garlic, lotus, salt, and acidic preparations should not be taken with milk. Do keep a gap of at least 2 hours between them. If you eat urad dal with milk then the risk of heart attack increases. 

The biggest advantage of hot milk over cold milk is that it is easily digested. If you do not digest lactose, you should avoid drinking cold milk, as it may be difficult for you to digest it.

If stomach upset is caused by drinking cold milk, then drink warm milk. When the milk is heated, the lactose present in it is destroyed, which does not cause diarrhea or flatulence after drinking.

Sour fruits like orange and pineapple should not be taken with milk at all. Many people take banana and milk in fasting, which is not an ideal combination.
