NCR Desk, Delhi- Magazine: The annual fest of Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Sonipat, commenced on April 17, 2024, with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of distinguished personalities from Gateway Education, marking the beginning of a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, and innovation.
Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal, Associate Director of Gateway Education, inaugurated the event, symbolizing the commencement of an enriching experience for the students and faculty alike. His address emphasized the importance of such gatherings in fostering holistic development and nurturing the budding talents within the institute.
Dr. Col Amik Garg, Director General of Gateway Education, shared his insights on the significance of co-curricular activities in shaping well-rounded individuals. His motivational words encouraged the participants to actively engage in the various events lined up for the fest.
Dr. Vinay Kumar Singhal, Principal of GIET, reiterated the institute’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for the overall growth of the students. Radhika Nagpal, Principal of Gateway College of Architecture and Design (GCAD), brought forth the importance of creativity and innovation in the field of architecture and design. Mr. Prem Kumar Ojha, Principal of Gateway International School (GIS), emphasized the need for holistic education encompassing both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The inaugural ceremony also featured captivating dance performances presented by students, showcasing their talents and artistic expressions. The vibrant performances enthralled the audience and set the stage for an evening filled with cultural vibrancy.
Adding to the cultural extravaganza was the play ‘Gagan Damdma Bajyo’, presented by Sukhmanch Theater which mesmerized the audience with its powerful performances and thought-provoking storyline. The play served as a testament to the creative prowess of the students and the institute’s commitment to promoting cultural enrichment.
As the fest unfolds over the coming days, it is expected to serve as a platform for students to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and forge lasting bonds, thereby contributing to the holistic development of the Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology community.
