Entertainment Desk, Delhi Magazine: Colombian singer Shakira, aged 47, is set to make a musical comeback with her first album in seven years. Titled “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran…” (“Women Don’t Cry Anymore”), the album will be released on Sony Latin on March 22. Shakira revealed the news on her social media page, unveiling four different covers for the record, styled by her trusted stylist Nicolas Bru.
In her announcement, Shakira expressed gratitude to her fans, referring to them as her “wolf pack,” and described the album creation process as an “alchemical process.” She shared that writing each song helped her find strength and turn her vulnerability into power.
The 16-track Spanish-language album will feature eight new songs, a remix, and seven previously released singles, including hits like “Acróstico,” “Out of Your League,” and “TQG.”
Despite facing personal challenges in recent years, including a breakup with her partner Gerard Pique and legal issues related to unpaid taxes, Shakira remains resilient and continues to focus on her music career. She is currently nominated for six awards at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Awards and is also set to compete for two prizes at the 49th People’s Choice Awards.
