Delhi government will hire only electric vehicles after six months

To promote electric vehicles, the Delhi government has decided after the next six months, only electric vehicles will be hired. The CM said that the they are building 100 charging stations in different places in Delhi.

He appealed that charging stations should also be built in the premises of big companies, malls, cinemas, restaurants and commercial shopping complexes. He also added that to reduce the pollution caused by vehicles in Delhi, last year our government announced an electric vehicles policy in the month of August. The Delhi government enacted an EV policy to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles. Now we have to implement this policy. The pollution caused by vehicles in Delhi has to be reduced considerably. Our aim is that out of all the vehicles purchased in Delhi by 2024, at least 25 percent of them should be electrical vehicles.

100 charging stations will be ready soon

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that petrol is not used in electric vehicles, it has to be charged with electricity. For this a charging station is required. Therefore, preparations have been started to build 100 charging stations all over Delhi. Tenders are being given for this. I expect that soon the public charging stations for electrical vehicles will also be ready. Ever since we announced this policy in Delhi, 6 thousand electric vehicles have been purchased in Delhi.
