“Falcon and Winter Soldier” 2021

The series takes place after the events of the movie “Avengers: Endgame”. Captain America left the stage, and people again needed a hero to inspire and unite them. Someone who will continue to carry the Captain’s shield. Sam Wilson is more suitable for this role than anyone else, but he is already all in the work of saving the world.

Meanwhile, Bucky Barnes visits a psychologist to help him cope with loneliness and integrate into society – at 106 it is not easy to do it yourself. However, Bucky will not be able to become limp for a long time, a threat has appeared on the horizon in the form of a group of flashmasters, and now he will have to unite with Sam to resist them.

Ginny and Georgia 2021

Georgia and Ginny are mother and daughter, but you can’t tell by looking at them. The fact is that Georgia gave birth to a child at 15 years old, and therefore now she is still young and beautiful. Men always fell for her, and it was a sin not to take advantage of it. Georgia generously shares her invaluable experience in relations with men with Ginny, but she is not sure if she will ever be able to apply this knowledge: unlike a frivolous mother, she is responsible and serious beyond her years. Circumstances force the family to move to Massachusetts, where they have to start a new life and try to join the local community.

The series raises many social problems, but the main direction is the relationship between mother and daughter and, as ironic as it may sound, the growing up of both of them.

“Ghosts of the Past” 2021

Seasoned detective Tom Brannik once lost his wife, and his student daughter is his only remaining close person. Once he was informed about a car that had fallen into the river, and he went to the place to figure it out. The owner of the car, the head of the successful holding, Pat Kinnon, was kidnapped, and the police have two assumptions: it could be connected either with politics or with a criminal gang with which Kinnon had a connection. On the side mirror, experts found a postcard, seeing which Brannik tensed – its meaning is known only to a limited circle of people, and he is one of them.

The detective realizes that the businessman’s kidnapping has something to do with a long-standing case he was working on, and which has to do with his personal grief.

Pacific Rim: The Black 2021

The action of the “Dark Zone” takes place in the same universe as the films “Pacific Rim”, but is a separate story

The world continues to suffer from the attack of the giant Kaiju monsters: more and more rifts are found in the central part of Australia, because of which the monsters climb literally from all the cracks. The authorities have one way out – to announce the evacuation of the population. Brother and sister, Taylor and Haley, did not have time to leave the mainland, and it seemed that their lives were over, but at the last moment they were rescued by their parents-pilots and redirected to safety. They promised to return soon for them, but this did not follow.

One day, Hayley finds an unarmed training gamekeeper who is not useful for evacuation – this is their chance to get out of here. Now he and his brother have the opportunity to undergo training and, finally, go in search of parents.

“Calls” 2021

“Calls” is an original series from Apple, and original in the literal sense of the word. The creators position their creation as an immersive experience that chills the viewer to the bone. Immersiveness is a way of perceiving history in which an immersive effect occurs.

The series can be called an audio horror film, during which the characters call each other and exchange some information, while on the screen there is nothing but sound waves and subtitles. Many viewers will undoubtedly be skeptical about this format. However, these short stories – 9 episodes of 12 minutes each, are really capable of “getting through to the bone”, as the creators say. Try it and see for yourself.
