Post-workout snacks are important for restoring your energy, building muscle and boosting metabolism, but the wrong choices can ruin everything you have achieved with intense training.
Three foods you should never eat after a workout:
1) Spicy foods: Spicy foods are difficult to digest. Your body has just made a great effort and is in a state of conservation, that is, it needs things easy to digest, a little protein, a little sugar to balance the levels and, mainly, carbohydrates .
2) Soft drinks: Never drink soft drinks after a workout. Your body needs to be hydrated, and these drinks are not the right ones.
3) Chocolate : Avoid chocolate bars. But if you can’t get rid of that desire, melt two tablespoons of coconut oil with a teaspoon of cocoa powder, a pinch of cinnamon and a little stevia to make a sugar-free chocolate sauce.
